Look up to the sky in 2012 and see new Angels...
The United Kingdom has for many years depended on the charity sector for its airborne air ambulances. These units who have done sterling work, operating in an area which no government body wished to address. These charity based air ambulance units fly mainly in daylight hours called Visual Flight Rules missions (VFR). There is a requirement for a 24hr national air ambulance unit to cover the evening and night missions (to bring us in line with the rest of Europe) and in the daylight as a secondary air ambulance unit to the charity units. SkyAngels fixed wing aircraft and helicopters will work in the IFR and VFR roles. SkyAngels feel that the charity units should be there for you in an emergency role and should not be used if possible in a non-emergency role. Indeed a large proportion of the charity air ambulance missions are non-emergency. We wish to address this and offer the NHS, Government Agencies and the public a viable option to transport patients throughout the United Kingdom with a 24/7 operational air rescue unit.

The requirement to transport critical care patients over longer distances will only increase over the coming years with the axing of local hospital A&E departments. We will be able to help at a national and local level with fixed wing, rotary assets and fast road ambulances with bases throughout the United Kingdom offering a seamless level of care with the NHS and private medical companies. Indeed we are even going to help fund and complete the infrastructure required at NHS hospitals so we can operate our helicopters which range in size from 4-18 seat and can be re-rolled into 1-4 stretcher air ambulances.
We will bring highly qualified personnel, equipment including fixed wing jets and twin/single engine helicopters, fast road ambulances, mobile fire & rescue, fuel and lighting units together to form a 24/7 air ambulance alliance within the United Kingdom, Europe and internationally. We will be the first point of call through our Command & Control Centre C3 to quickly, effectively and efficiently provide care and transportation to definitive care at regional and city hospitals from 2012.
